... Canceled / Pinocchio exhibition, St Maurice (VS) ...
Original exhibition around the most famous puppet in children's literature : Pinocchio !
Widely popular around the world with the adaptation of Walt Disney, there is just 80 years, the character of Pinocchio was invented at the end of the 19th century by the Italian Carlo Collodi. It is not only at the heart of a fascinating and singular dramatic tale - written by Collodi and originally published in episodes in the Italian children’s newspaper Giornale per i bambini - but also, one of the most illustrated and revisited literary icons.
By its exposure, the Castle invites you, to discover the origins of Pinocchio's history, to go through his adventures, to taste its graphic and cinematographic representations, to admire puppet puppets, have fun with optical illusions or a drawing workshop, to visit the Land of toys, to enter the belly of the Terrible Shark, or, again, to settle in a library presenting a selection of 70 illustrated books around Pinocchio.
