After touring for over two years, in Switzerland, in France and Montreal, and performed on big stages (popular in Avignon in 2016, first Swiss Selection) like in private homes, this gem from the 2b company is touring French-speaking Switzerland. His dads : the Friborg director François Gremaud (also founder of the 2b company) and the actor Pierre Mifsud, with a great reputation in France as in Switzerland, having notably worked under the direction of Jean-Michel Ribes. The’Paroles Association organizes one of the five conferences, welcomed at Théâtre du Pommier (CCN) à Neuchâtel, the 22 February at 8 p.m.. This conference series is organized in collaboration with Barn (in Le Locle), the French Shows in Bienne and the Mused in Ethnography the neuch of neuchs.

All Wikipedia goes there…

Conferences of things lives up to its name. Rare creation, kind of exquisite corpse, this show is gripping and, under his crazy appearance, teaches us lots of …things. This is a corpus of text bringing together around ten very varied topics found on Wikipedia, moving from metaphysics to Annie Hall, from Annie Hall to Comet Halley, from Descartes to Haribo candy, etc.. allowing eight hours of conference ! The 22 February, Neuchâtel will have a overview of 53 minutes 33, or an individual conference among the nine possible, all different. In all, five episodes will be played in the region.

Modern Pécuchet in conference

Without artifice, with just a table and a chair, Pierre Mifsud arises frontally in current Pécuchet. It unfolds a piece of human knowledge, he seeds a string of this information gleaned from Wikipedia whose pearls are linked together as arranged on the net. Effectively, in this canvas, heterogeneous subjects have for breadcrumbs hyperlinks which relate them to each other in Wikipedia. Even if each information was chosen in advance with precision and concern for veracity, nothing is fixed and Pierre Mifsud is an excellent improviser.

Plunging yourself into a state of intellectual “drunkenness”

This show is a proposal for “physically” experience the duration and intoxication provided by an accumulation of subjects to end up immersed in a state of philosophical astonishment, fundamental state which is the basis of all thought. Our perception of things thus comes out altered and they appear in a new light., both prodigious and incomprehensible.
