Winter, spring, été, fall, winter…
In the heart of a snowy island, Haiku, young solitary and dreamy painter, lives from his art and fishing. The hypnotic landscape of a sonorous and milky sea, infused with stars, home to a world where playful fish and shamanic spirits coexist. On earth, a stone's throw away, a century-old tree protects its bamboo house with shade.
Contemplative, its universe is rocked by the beating of the waves, wild crane flights, his comings and goings to the market and his paintings. Until the day when an injured crane will upset this fragile balance...
