Deaf poet, Fábio de Sá is a Brazilian sign language teacher Libras, actor and storyteller. He develops a research from the concept of VV – Visual Vernacular already presented in France, in Chile, in Colombia and Brazil.

The VV uses facial expressions and the body as poetic-aesthetic resources to tell stories. According to the imagination and iconography specific to each artist, this visual art makes it possible to represent metaphors in three dimensions on a particular rhythm of articulation of signs. If the term “visual” can be taken literally, that of “vernacular” summons community as much as inner strength or a deep vision of the world.
