... FINISHING OF THE TEMPORARY EXHIBITION ...
GUIDED TOUR BY THE ARTIST FOLLOWED BY AN APERITIF
Wednesday 12 June, the exhibition Leah Linh – Fortunes and Reflections in the Time of Peter II of Savoy closes its doors after 9 opening month. The opportunity to see or revisit this magnificent exhibition for the last time with the artist herself as a guide.
Leah Linh (*2000) created twelve monumental works inspired by Peter II of Savoy (1203-1268). Nicknamed “Little Charlemagne”, this emblematic prince strengthened the power of his family and left his mark on the architecture of the castle.
The Chillon Castle Foundation has given full freedom to the Vaudois artist. To seize this prosperous period, Leah Linh used one of her favorite techniques, applying the gold leaf, like a reflection of illuminated medieval manuscripts. Heritage constraints and his creativity allowed him to surpass himself and create unique works in different formats..
The visit will be followed by an aperitif in the Chatelain’s Room (from 5:30 p.m.)
Closing of the castle at 7 p.m.
