Classes have resumed and so have the Polyjapan screenings 😀
Come meet us on 30 September for the first screening of the year, a feature film from Studios Ghibli directed by Isao Takahata (The Tomb of the Fireflies) : The Tale of Princess Kaguya (Kaguya Hime no Monogatari). The screening will be in Japanese with excellent French subtitles..

A farmer discovers a thumb-sized baby inside a bamboo stem and decides to collect it. The child, a little girl, grows very quickly, and becomes a lovely young girl. When his adoptive father finds a gold nugget in another bamboo, he decides to give her an education worthy of a princess and take her to the city. The reputation of her beauty spreads throughout the country and suitors flock to ask for her hand., despite Kaguya's indifference, who regrets his campaign and his friends. The young girl is not easily seduced ; to get her hand, her suitors will have to take up the challenges she imposes on them...

And of course, as per usual, our Asian food stand will be open from 6:30 p.m. to allow you to enjoy good Yakisobas, the Ramen and the Cup Noodle, as well as Oishi and Mikado teas during the screening !
