Christmas stories of yesteryear and today
Tendez l’oreille, open your eyes and be surprised by amazing Christmas stories. Time for an exhibition, young and old alike immerse themselves in a warm atmosphere to remember the tales of yesteryear. In the 19th centuryandcentury, these stories abound and contribute to the construction of new traditions. Like the Christmas hymn de Charles Dickens, which invokes benevolence and generosity, the authors compose stories where the fantastic rubs shoulders with reality.
In the privacy of the castle, the exhibition A whole story recreates the surprising atmospheres of traditional Christmas stories. Collections, illustrations, historic decorations and toys evoke these stories that have spanned the centuries. Hear again today's storytellers continuing the tradition and sharing untold stories, which the Friborg artist Line Rime magnificently illustrates.
